ABOUT ME
I was born in a small village in June 22, 1951 in Rangpur District of Bangladesh. First, I studied in a Primary School of our village called Nakhar Para Primary School. I obtained my Secondary School Certificate from Pirganj High School (1966) and Higher Secondary Certificate from Government Carmichael College, Rangpur (1968). I earned my B.Sc.Hons. (1971) and first M.Sc. (1972) degrees from the Department of Chemistry, Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. Again, I obtained my second M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Lakehaed University, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada (1981). I have my Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada in 1985.
I grew up primarily in a village, moved to a small city,Rangpur, for college education and then to a divisional city, Rajshahi, for Bachelor and M.Sc. degrees where, I became a faculty member in 1976 and still working there. My love of chemistry, teaching and research was developed at Rajshahi University. Later, I went to Canada for my higher education, M.Sc. and Ph.D. and after completing my Ph.D. program, I spent one more year at the University of Ottawa as a Post Doctoral Fellow. I have also spent more than a year at the University of Florida as a research scholar.

Chairman-Department of Chemistry (1998-2001); Representative-Board of Advanced Studies (1998-2000); Member-Planning and Development Committee (1997- 1999); Student Adviser (1992-1995) (University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh).
Interests
Interesting people, histories of WWI and WWII, comic books, video games, train stations.
